If you’ve ever craved brownies but you want a recipes that is in between of a sugar bomb and a everything free recipe this one is for you.
These fudgy, rich brownies are made with subtle changes of ingredients so you can still enjoy a good brownie without compromising the richness and flavor you love. Even my skeptical friends went back for seconds.

Total time: 30 minutes
Servings: 9-12 squares
Ingredients
150g Dark Chocolate (I use 80%)
1 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
100ml Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)
2 Eggs
1 Tsp of Vanilla Extract
150g All-Purpose Flour
2 Tbsp Chocolate Protein Powder or normal Cocoa Powder works as well
1 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
Pinch of Salt
Add-Ins (Optional but recommended)
50-100g Dark Chocolate Chunks
Walnuts (As much or as little as you want)
A sprinkle of Sea Salt to finish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking pan with some EVOO.
- Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave with 30 seconds increments, mixing it every time.
- Add the rest of the wet ingredients to the melted chocolate (Sugar, EVOO, eggs, and vanilla extract). Stir until incorporated.
- Add the dry ingredients (Flour, chocolate protein/cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt) and gently fold in the mixture. Halfway incorporated add the chocolate chunks, keep stirring until the mixture becomes homogenous.
- Transfer into the baking pan and add the walnuts on top of the batter.
- Bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Let the brownies cool before sprinkling some sea salt and slicing it.
